The 2026 Zone Convention was held at our Branch on March 15th,2026. We hosted 8 other Branches as well as members of the Zone Council. It was great to meet the representatives from other Legions.Kudos to the new baking team and the catering team for their serving of baked goods and a great lunch for our guests. Many thanks to the members of the Executive who helped with the set-up which gave the hall arrangement some considerable elegance!

Barb Wilson was recognized and awarded the Award of Merit for her outstanding effort and dedication to the Banner Project. She was able to, at short notice put together the Banner Program. 25 banners were displayed along the streets of Westport this past November. Gail Paul was Awarded the Life Time Membership award. She has been a member for 49 consecutive years,  and and has contributed so much to the Legion, your dedication and service is so very much appreciated. !

Westport & Newboro Ceremonies

A delicious brunch held at the Westport Legion to honour our Veterans. As well our branch Piper, Dave Brown was presented with a Quilt of Valour.

On Sunday, October 26, we held the 2025 Honours & Awards Ceremony, celebrating the outstanding achievements of many of our dedicated volunteers & members. Our Legion’s success would not be possible without their commitment and service. Congratulations to all the recipients, and sincere thanks to the Honours & Awards Committee for their hard work in organizing this wonderful event.

October 3rd we had a great time celebrating Okoberfest !
